Founded in 2011 by Master Distiller Dr John Walters, English Spirit were the first distillery in the UK to produce a rum, The Old Salt offered here, (which is named after a location and does not contain any salt).  Fermented from 100% pure cane sugar molasses, as opposed to the sugar cane syrup which is used to make most commercial rums, it offers a richness and depth unmatched by others. Awarded ‘World’s Best Rum’ at Hong Kong Rumfest in 2014 and ‘Highly Commended’ at Craft Aged Rum of the Year (2020).  Together with the 50CL bottle of Old Salt Rum, the company are including, as part of its prize, a Distillery Tour and Tasting Experience for two which can be taken at either of its Distilleries – Great Yeldham Hall in Essex or Treguddick Manor in Cornwall (vouchers valid until December 2023).

Similarly, Firetree Chocolate are UK producers of a rare and uniquely flavoursome range of super-premium chocolates.  Firetree produces exceptional chocolate sourced from remote single-estate islands in the ‘Pacific Ring of Fire’ and Oceania, where the volcanic terroir produces cocoa beans with natural flavour notes that change, develop, and linger on the palate.  Much like the grapes in winemaking, the cocoa beans from each single-estate Firetree partner with have their own unique natural flavours and distinct taste notes – think cherry, soft grapefruit, caramel and even truffle. One winner will be picked by English Spirit Ltd and Firetree Chocolate Ltd from all the entries. The winner will each receive the prize collection depicted above.  English Spirit Ltd and Firetree Chocolate Ltd  reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond their control make this unavoidable. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash equivalent.  English Spirit Ltd and Firetree Chocolate Ltd reserve the right to choose another winner should a winner not have a UK mainland address. Only one entry per person. This giveaway is not open to employees of English Spirit Ltd or Firetree Chocolate Ltd, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion. The winner will be notified by email or phone on  and will be asked to confirm their details before the joint prize is despatched. Proof of age may also be required. If no confirmatory response can be obtained by midnight, 24th August 2022 an alternative winner will be chosen. Once this has been done, the original winner will have forfeited the prize.
